Hello, my name is Tom Ipes IV, professionally known as Ipes. Even my wife calls me Ipes, as do many of my friends. As a 4th generation kid, my last name has deep roots in Tennessee and is a name of great importance to me.
I love being married, and my wife means the world to me. She is my beautiful gem inside and out and the greatest supporter of my film life. I couldn't image life without her! We got married in September 2015 and Honeymooned in Maui and Kauai, HI. It was the best celebration and trip!
Driven by passion and ambition, we live life to the fullest through love, faith, and film, channeling that same energy into our video production company.
VE VIDEOGRAPHY JOURNEY
VE Videography has been a long journey that began in 2002, long before I met my wife. My inspiration for creating cinematic films stemmed from a deep love of watching movies with epic musical scores that enriched the storytelling. In high school and college, many of my teachers recognized my potential, often predicting that I would one day run a successful film business. During college, I took on an ambitious project: a documentary about renowned music composer William Wagner. My professor was so impressed with the final piece that she not only requested a copy for herself but continues to showcase it to her classes to this day.

In 2010, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a film editor on a docu-series project that took place in Bangladesh and India. This project was showcased on various network stations across the U.S. and even internationally. Over the years, I've lent my expertise as both an editor and a videographer to numerous video productions for different networks. But despite these diverse experiences, my heart always gravitates back to wedding videography. There's something truly special about capturing and immortalizing a couple's most cherished moments.

Following my education, I ventured into the entrepreneurial world of filmmaking. My portfolio expanded with music videos, corporate productions, and even sporting events. Yet, weddings remained an uncharted territory until my late father hinted at the potential in wedding videography. Heeding his advice in 2006, I filmed weddings for a few friends tying the knot. The experience was exhilarating, and I found my passion. From then on, my journey in wedding videography took a dedicated turn towards the art of documentary-style wedding videography, commonly known as wedding cinematography.

Though we don’t have children, our pups, Sierra and Midnight, are truly our babies—and the cutest little rescuers ever! We actually found our crazy fur babies while playing one of our favorite sports, disc golf. They were so young and tiny, but it was love at first sight! Now, Sierra and Midnight are a huge part of our lives. Sierra is a bit shy, yelping at most anything that moves while trying to keep us safe, and Midnight is full of energy, loving to meet people and other dogs. Both of them adore playing catch with their favorite balls and visiting the dog park to socialize with fellow furries. They're more than pets; they’re family!

My wife and I share a passion for traveling the world together, hiking to waterfalls, and exploring mountaintops, discovering the peace and beauty of nature’s wonders. With Christian faith, the Lord guides our relationship in everything we do, including our love for adventure and connection with nature. We've hiked many trails throughout the Great Smoky Mountains and other scenic locations in Tennessee, discovering breathtaking spots that we’ve had the privilege to revisit for our own enjoyment and with couples who entrust us to capture their love stories. Whether it's for engagement or save-the-date films, there have been many stunning settings that provide the perfect backdrop for creating unforgettable memories.
SIERRA & MIDNIGHT
Aside from our professional videography life, we are avid sports fans! My wife and I have enjoyed the excitement of following our favorite teams, which has led to incredible connections with celebrity couples from the NFL, baseball, volleyball, and other athletic communities. We've had the privilege of cheering them on and capturing the most important moments of their lives by filming their weddings and making lifetime friends.
We're also passionate about staying involved in community sports like Ultimate Frisbee and Disc Golf. I've been hosting Ultimate Frisbee games in Chattanooga since 2011, fostering a strong sense of community through the sport. I've also been playing Disc Golf for 17 years, building great connections along the way. These experiences have shaped both our personal lives and our approach to business.
