Hello, my name is Tom Ipes IV, professionally known as Ipes. Even my wife calls me Ipes, as do many of my friends. As a 4th generation kid, my last name has deep roots in Tennessee and is a name of great importance to me.
I love being married, and my wife means the world to me. She is so beautiful in and out. I couldn't image life without her! We celebrated our wedding at Stratton Hall, downtown Chattanooga, TN, in September 2015 and Honeymooned in Maui and Kauai, HI. It was the best celebration and trip!

Hi, I'm Tom Ipes IV, but most people know me professionally as Ipes. My love for filming started in high school during the early 2000s. Movies have always been my passion, and I truly enjoy the intricacies of producing, directing, and bringing various film genres to life. Throughout high school, I crafted numerous videos, from fun projects with friends to more formal school assignments. Many of my teachers saw potential in my work, often remarking that they envisioned me running a successful film business in the future. In college, I took on an ambitious project - a documentary about the renowned music composer, William Wagner. My professor was so taken with the final piece that she not only wanted a copy for herself but also continues to showcase it to her classes to this day.
Following my education, I ventured into the entrepreneurial world of filmmaking. My portfolio expanded with music videos, corporate productions, and even sporting events. Yet, weddings remained an uncharted territory until my late father hinted at the potential in wedding videography. Heeding his advice in 2006, I filmed weddings for a few friends tying the knot. The experience was exhilarating, and I found my passion. From then on, my journey in wedding videography took a dedicated turn towards the art of documentary-style wedding videography, commonly known as wedding cinematography.
In 2010, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a film editor on a docu-series project that took place in Bangladesh and India. This project was showcased on various network stations across the U.S. and even internationally. Over the years, I've lent my expertise as both an editor and a videographer to numerous video productions for different networks. But despite these diverse experiences, my heart always gravitates back to wedding videography. There's something truly special about capturing and immortalizing a couple's most cherished moments.
In 2015, I hit the jackpot, not in film, but in love—I got married! And guess what? My incredible wife, a brilliant software engineer, is just as passionate about storytelling as I am. She weaves tales through her writing and videography. Together, we're the ultimate techie duo, making every project an exhilarating adventure. For our wedding, we celebrated our love for films, choosing the mesmerizing theme of TRON: LEGACY. Imagine the ambiance set with captivating infinity lighting, the backdrop of movie score music, followed by a Hawaiian-themed reception featuring delectable Thai food. And for the sweet finish? Cupcakes! Truly, it was the best wedding ever!
With years dedicated to mastering wedding cinematography, a pivotal moment came in the Fall of 2017. We filmed an enchanting wedding in the scenic Blue Ridge, Georgia. This experience was so transformative that it inspired the rebranding of our business in 2018, propelling us into a full-time venture. Thus, VE Videography was born, with a mantra that encapsulates our essence: "Don't Just Remember. Relive!"
